There are many kinds of Massage Therapy.

Find out more.

What is Massage Therapy?

We have all had muscle tension and sore spots from time to time. Touch is our instinctive response to remove pain and feel better. We also use touch to prevent pain, as when we rub or stretch our muscles before exercise or simply to put us into a state of relaxation. Professional Massage Therapists can help with this. They have studied the art and science of therapeutic touch to help. In simple terms, Massage Therapy is hands-on treatment where the soft tissues of the body are manipulated to better our health and well-being.

Massage Therapy is ideal for people of all ages, and in most conditions, such as:

• Anyone suffering from muscle tension or stress
• Athletes who wish to prevent or repair strain injuries and who would like to improve overall muscle tone
• Elderly people who are seeking to improve their circulation or joint flexibility
• Pregnant women who are experiencing pain, discomfort or swelling due to their pregnancy
